Date: 29/11/2023

A delegation representing the Chinese Manned Space Engineering recently visited Hong Kong, and over thirty students from our school were invited to attend a dialogue and sharing session with the delegation and astronauts organized by the Education Bureau. The event featured guest speakers such as astronaut Zhang Lu from the Shenzhou-15 mission and experts in the field of manned space engineering systems. During the event, the astronauts shared their experiences in space missions, introduced the achievements of the country in space technology, and discussed the construction of the national space station.

One of our students, Yeung Yuen Ting, had the opportunity to engage in a conversation with an astronaut to gain insights into the psychological qualities required for space work. The event deepened students’ knowledge of STEAM related to space technology, allowing them to gain a better understanding of the development of China’s manned space engineering and fostering a stronger sense of national identity among the students
