Sponsored by the Lions Club of Hong Kong Host, Central Lions Club, and Hong Kong New Territories West Lions Club, the two-day, one-night study tour “Exploring and Practicing Opportunities in the Smart Greater Bay Area” was successfully held from March 15 to 16, 2025, providing an invaluable learning and experiential journey for participating students and teachers.
The event attracted participation from five schools, including SKH Bishop Baker Secondary School, Pok Oi Hospital Tang Pui King Memorial College, Man Kwan Pak Kau College, Tin Shui Wai Methodist College, and Shap Pat Heung Rural Committee Kung Yik She Secondary School. Our school (10 students from Forms 2 to 4 to join the tour), exploring the Greater Bay Area alongside other students and teachers.
During the tour, students visited Gaomei Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd., Yongnong Machinery Cooperative, Lee Kum Kee (Xinhui) Food Co., Ltd., and Xinhui Chenpi Village. They gained in-depth insights into the industrial development and innovative practices of the Greater Bay Area. Through face-to-face exchanges with entrepreneurs, students learned about modern agricultural technologies, operated agricultural drones, and explored the operational models of cooperatives. ancing their understanding of the region’s diverse economy and cultural richness.
This study tour not only broadened the students’ horizons but also inspired them to reflect on their future academic and career planning. Many students expressed that they gained a lot from the experience, not only acquiring knowledge but also igniting their passion for innovation and entrepreneurship.
