Joint School Marching Band Exchange Programme

The Hong Kong Vigor Marching Band and a joint ensemble formed by the Man Kwan Education Organisation—comprising the Marching Bands of our school, Jockey Club Man Kwan EduYoung College, and Man Kwan QualiEd College—travelled to Shenzhen with over 30 members from September 15 to 19 to participate in an exchange programme.

Music knows no boundaries. Through wind music, students connected with peers from diverse backgrounds and nationalities, experiencing the true joy of musical exchange. This invaluable event gave them the opportunity to perform on stage, showcase the fruits of their training, and build lasting friendships through music.

During the five-day trip, students also visited local schools for cultural exchange. The organizers arranged immersive cultural activities in Shenzhen and visits to high-tech companies, allowing students to gain firsthand insight into technological development and local heritage on the Mainland. In doing so, they truly lived out our School Supervisor’s motto: “Stand tall and look far ahead.”

Through this exchange, students not only honed their performance skills, but also broadened their horizons and forged meaningful connections. It was a rewarding and deeply memorable experience that supported both their musical growth and personal development.
