On 10/2, Tuesday, the school held the third Art Salon event of this academic year. Following the previous introductions to Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo—two of the three great masters of the Renaissance—the artist featured this time was a composer: Johann Pachelbel.
Johann Pachelbel was a German composer of the Baroque period, best known for Pachelbel’s Canon. The word “canon” literally means “round” (a type of musical imitation). In this session, Music teacher Mr. Cheung Wan Lok led 2A Lee Yuen Kiu, 2A Ip Celine, and 4A Kwok Yat Sing in a quartet performance. Students were fortunate to enjoy this famous piece live, and it is believed that this experience will enhance their understanding and appreciation of musical art.
