| Deep Learning Week Program combines different disciplines, including STEM, Physical Arts and Philosophy to expand students’ learning space. In order to let S4 students have a better understanding of the society, we propose the “Caring for the World: Improving the Wealth Gap” as the theme of this deep learning program.
The students participated in the Deep Learning Program by the UNESCO and the Hong Kong Caring and Alleviation Association to experience the plight of the poor and learn about international issues related to wealth disparity in the first two days. At the same time, students are allowed to choose their own study methods to cultivate students’ independent learning and 6C in-depth learning ability. They had the opportunity to design electronic picture books in Chinese and English, design trading online store website, design board games, optimize the subdivided housing design based on the four major categories of in-depth learning (language, STEM, physical arts, and logical thinking). It is hoped that they can learn how to give back to the society, and take action to become a world citizen who cares about society. |
