Do your :bit GBA Challenge 2026

Our students, To Man Him and Ho Shun Yin, participated in the Do your :bit GBA Challenge 2026 with their project “Corridor Safety Monitor”. Using micro:bit, HuskyLens AI camera and a noise sensor, they designed an innovative solution to improve corridor safety on campus.

Focusing on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education, the students used AI vision to track movement speed and detect running in corridors. The system also monitors noise levels. When running or excessive noise is detected, it gives instant reminders through a red light, buzzer and OLED display, helping to create a quiet, safe and orderly learning environment.

The competition enabled students to apply programming, artificial intelligence and electronic engineering to real school life. Their project also considered privacy protection by using only numerical data such as speed and noise levels for analysis, without storing students’ images. Through project development and presentation, students demonstrated creativity, problem-solving skills and a caring mindset.

We look forward to seeing our students continue to use technology to bring positive changes to the school and community!
