Main Album » ‘A Man, A Brush and A Story’

Content:For two years, our Visual Arts Club have been cooperating with the Hong Kong Museum of Chinese Painting Brushes. The outcome of this collaboration was the workshop ‘A Man, A Brush and A Story’.
We would like to thank the Master of Chinese Painting brushes, Mr Cheung Hung Ngai, who provided our students with the opportunity to be educated in the art of Chinese brush-making and calligraphy.
In an effort to create greater meaning behind the production of the brushes, students utilised 3D painting techniques which enabled them to design and construct a brush’s handle with their own story.
Our students’ creations are now exhibited at the Yuen Long MTR Station and the Youth Square.
VA Club members He Ziwei and Cheung Sze were interviewed on the 7th of July, 2019, by the TVB program ‘Culture Plaza’.
We hope these experiences could enhance our students’ interest, self confidence and inheritance of traditional Chinese culture.
